Rubio State-of-the-art technology Lifetime Finish

The available Rubio Monocoat finish available from SUR.FA.CES is the reference when it comes to high quality and environmentally friendly wood protection. Due to its advanced molecular bonding technology, Rubio Monocoat Oil has the following qualities:

  • Durable color and protection of the wood.
  • Durable color and protection of the wood in one single layer.
  • 0% VOCs or water.
  • A selection of 40+ standard color’s to choose from.
  • Surfaces treated with Rubio Monocoat oil are easy to maintain, and isolated scratches or damaged areas are very easy to repair and isolated scratches or damaged areas very easy to repair.
  • Rubio Monocoat oil doesn’t contain any water or solvents and is based on natural ingredients. This means that the product is very safe to use, but equally safe for your environment.
  • Once all free cellulose fibers are molecularly bonded, surplus product will no longer be accepted by the wood or the bonded Rubio Monocoat layer itself. This is why overlaps or starting marks are avoided.
  • Thanks to our technology, the consumption is much lower than for a traditional system. This results in a durable coloring and protection in one single layer. Once the fibers are bonded with the oil, the wood doesn’t absorb any surplus product – which makes a second layer superfluous.

The unique Rubio Monocoat oil pigment technology allows an intense and deep coloring in one single layer, without compromising the natural look and feel of the wood.
The result is a gorgeous, hand made hardwood floor that will patina over the years and get better looking over time.

Molecular Bonding
The oil adheres – within a couple of minutes – to the upper microns in the wood by a strong molecular bonding (no film formation, no saturation).
